Surgical Tech/Medical Assistant

Riverside Pain Physicians has an immediate opening for a full-time surgical tech/medical assistant in our St. Augustine practice location. Biligual in Spanish preferred. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast paced office environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail while delivering excellent patient care.
Duties include but are not limited to rooming patients, answering and triaging phone calls from patients, taking vital signs, documenting patient history, assisting in office based procedures,
and working directly with physicians.
Qualifications include:
Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred, BMO a plus
Approximate one year experience working in a physician's front/back office as a MA
Bilingual in Spanish
EMR/medical terminology knowledge and experience
BLS certification
Proficient typing skills and ability to multitask
Strong communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to be a team player
Ability to be a self-starter
Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Prior pain or orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
Surgical assisting experience preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
