ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Designs new equipment and materials or recommends revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, and other changes to increase production and improve standards.
Tests selected products at specified stages in the production process for performance characteristics and adherence to specifications.
Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products.
Studies time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment, and adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Other duties as required in support of the department and the company SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES While engineering technicians often start as support staff, there is room for career advancement.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Requires technical skills usually obtained by post-secondary education from specialized training or equivalent experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Active IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification at the manager's discretion and may be specific to work location.
