Home like environment Food provided Safe work environment On-the-job training Duties and responsibilities - Assist with self-administration to residents.
Follow all directions and procedures when performing med tech duties.
- Attention to details is essential for those individuals in this position.
- Observe residents when taking his or her medication.
Do not leave him or her until you are assured medication has been taken.
- Work with med tech replacement on count and report.
- Provide information to the Director of Wellness regarding the self-administration, effect of any new medication, and refusals.
- Coordinate medication changes, refills, and deliveries with patient physicians and pharmacies.
Communicate with Director of Wellness if any issues ordering or receiving medications.
- Keep medication room and cart clean and orderly at all times.
- We also expect our Medication Technicians to provide direct care to our residents and collaborate with other staff to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
- Must have critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Possess good time management and organizational skills.
- Remain flexible and adaptable.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
