Augustine is looking for experienced Med Techs.
The Med-Tech is responsible for medications and residents care duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
This position administers medications according to acceptable standards.
The Med-Tech acts under the guidance and delegation of a Licensed Nurse.
Ensures the medication area is kept clean.
The Med-Tech is responsible to ensure that the next shift has a responsible and qualified staff member on duty to administer residents' medications.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Passes morning, afternoon and evening medications, staying with each resident until the medication is consumed, then charts appropriately.
Maintains upkeep and cleanliness of medication carts and medication room, wipes down top of medication cart.
Keeps the medication carts appropriately stocked.
Responsible for recording and/ or restocking of medications from pharmacy after receiving proper instructions.
Responsible for locking and storing narcotics.
Maintains accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records, according to established procedures.
Assists residents with care and helps resident assistants on the floor.
