Augustine ED location.
This is a full-time, nights opportunity, with the hours of 10:
30 PM - 7:
00 AM, Monday through Friday.
The Security & Materials Officer's primary function is to assure the day-to-day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties.
As patient safety and experience are top priority this growing team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors.
As a Security & Materials Officer you will be responsible for:
Reporting any unusual circumstances, and take appropriate corrective actions Insuring the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards Providing escort services Respond to unsafe situations Enforce hospital parking regulations Assist individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems Responsible for receiving equipment, supplies, verifying receipts against packing list & PO, entering receipt information into the computer system, staging incoming receipts for delivery, distributing supplies, insuring par levels are maintained, performing routine counts and reconciling supply inventory, maintaining warehouse inventory, and other duties as assigned.
In this position, the employee may occasionally have access to medications.
The expectation is that the employee will follow hospital policies to ensure that medications remain secured.
IAHSS Basic Certification required within 6 months This Security & Materials Officer will be located at Baptist St.
