Augustine, FL branch! This position is an in office role Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM.
If you have experience in the title insurance or mortgage industry, click apply! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Obtains necessary information from the parties involved in the transaction to prepare closing documents and disclosures.
Review and understand real estate conveyance documents, title insurance commitments and related documents.
Collaborate with lenders, real estate agents, lawyers, and other title and closing personnel to solve issues encountered on specific transactions.
Creates closing accounting ledgers, cuts checks, and initiates wire transfers according to closing instructions.
Helps market the company's services to prospective customers by providing an outstanding closing experience.
Display excellent customer service skills to build strong relationships with local lenders, real estate agents and other potential customers.
Performs other administrative duties if needed such as answering phones, entering orders, scanning files and other general office duties.
Conducts signings of limited complexity to gain experience if the candidate wishes to progress into additional responsibilities such as a licensed title agent or closer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Some understanding of the purpose of title insurance and related services.
Some understanding of the terminology of the documents involved in real estate transactions.
Ability to proactively address and resolve issues heading into a real estate closing.
Ability to accurately prepare the necessary forms to complete transactions; to follow instructions; to make arithmetic computations; and to meet and deal with the public effectively.
Analytical ability sufficient to perform varied tasks of limited complexity guided by general company procedures and supervisor instructions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability, and an ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Strong customer service, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
A proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Ability to operate a personal computer, safely navigate the internet, and use office software, such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of clerical experience related to escrow operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
